Concentric Security portable crash beam barriers offer high security protection from low to medium speed vehicular attacks and prevent vehicles from entering restricted areas. Our Model GS-05-712P barriers are designed for rapid deployment and use in restricted areas where there are no installed permanent barriers.

Portable Crash Beam Portable Crash Beam

The portable crash beam barrier has been approved under US Navy specification (OR098-09-88).

Each crash beam consists of one welded steel frame attached to each stanchion (hinge and receiver side), and an extruded aluminum beam. The beam contains a high tensile wire rope designed to absorb impact and transmit it through the stanchions to the steel frames. The frames contain concrete filled drums with lifting rings to allow for transport.

Crash beam operating times are approximately 9-19 seconds to fully open or close, but are dependent upon beam length and hydraulic pumping unit.

Barriers are available in 9’ to 18’ widths. All hydraulic portable beam barriers come equipped with our standard “up and down” controller.
